Out on the Shelves
(2018-). New Zealand: InsideOUT.
An online resource collecting books and literature by rainbow authors featuring rainbow stories.

Out on the Shelves is an online resource that aims to help rainbow young people find stories that mirror their identities in positive and affirming ways. The initiative was developed by InsideOUT in 2018 - they are a national charity supporting young people of minority sexualities, genders and sex characteristics in Aotearoa. Over the years, Out on the Shelves' collection of books has grown substantially, with InsideOUT adding newly published titles and those recommended via reader submissions.

InsideOUT's annual awareness campaign runs in June and is a great opportunity for schools, youth organisations and libraries to promote books from the Out on the Shelves collection.
