Pink Shirt Day 2026 Photo Competition – Terms and Conditions 

1. Promoter 

The Pink Shirt Day 2026 Photo Competition (the Competition) is run by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand (MHF). 

2. Eligibility 

The Competition is open to individuals, schools, workplaces and community groups based in New Zealand. 

Employees of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter. 

3. Competition period 

The Competition opens on entry launch and closes at 5:00pm, Monday 25 May 2026. Entries received after this time will not be accepted. 

4. How to enter 

To enter, participants must submit a photo through the official Pink Shirt Day entry method during the Competition Period. 

  • Multiple entries are permitted. 

  • Each entrant is eligible to win only one prize. 

By entering this Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

5. Entry requirements and permissions 

By submitting an entry, you confirm that: 

  • You are the original creator and owner of the photo submitted; or you have obtained full permission from the owner(s) to submit it. 

  • You have received consent from all identifiable people featured in your entry (and from a parent or guardian if they are under 18). 

  • The content does not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright, privacy or intellectual property rights. 

By entering the Competition, you grant the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand: 

  • The right to use your entry for promotion, marketing and communications purposes related to Pink Shirt Day and MHF activities; 

  • Permission to use your content across print, digital and social media channels, including but not limited to websites, advertising, publications, and promotional materials; 

  • The right to edit or adapt the content as required (while maintaining its original intent). 

You acknowledge that no payment will be made for this use.   
 

6. Judging and winner selection 

Winners will be selected by a panel of MHF staff based on creativity, relevance to Pink Shirt Day, and overall impact. 

Winners will be chosen by 5:00pm, Friday 12 June 2026.  
 
All judging decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

7. Prize 

The prize is a $500 Bunnings gift voucher.  

  • Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. 

  • MHF reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary. 

8. Winner notification and claiming prizes 

Winners will be notified by email. 

If a winner has not provided the required contact details by Friday 19 June 2026, they will forfeit the prize and a redraw may take place. 

Winners may be asked to participate in reasonable promotional activity. 

10. Liability 

To the extent permitted by law, MHF accepts no responsibility for: 

  • Late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries; 

  • Technical issues affecting entry submission; 

  • Any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered as a result of entering the Competition or accepting a prize. 

11. Changes or cancellation 

MHF reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time if circumstances arise outside its control.
